THE REMARKABLE TALE OF DOROTHY MACKAILL
"The Remarkable Tale of Dorothy Mackaill", written by Elizabeth Godber and featuring classic songs of the 1920s, told the true story of Hull's own cinematic heroine. Dorothy travelled from Hull's Chanterlands Ave to become one of the most famous actresses in the golden era of Hollywood!
Told through multi-role and live music, the show ran for six nights at Hull New Theatre's studio space to sell-out audiences!
"The Remarable Tale of Dorothy Mackaill" is the only production about Doorhty that has been officially approved by her family.
The show was supported by Arts Council England and Hull City Council.
